Phyllis Stevens
Phyllis Ann Stevens, 73, of
Marysville, died Monday, June 29, 2009 at Mt. Carmel St. Ann’s Hospital in
Westerville. She was a volunteer for Memorial Hospital of Union County with
over 760 hours. She recently received her 500 hour pin during Volunteer Week in
April. She helped to establish the
volunteer information desk in the Laboratory Waiting Room and worked at the MacIvor Information Desk and the Surgery Waiting Room. She was
associated with the VFW Auxiliary for many years and also volunteered at the Marysville
Food Pantry. She was born October 20, 1935 in Columbus to the late Paul and
Ruth Wooley Nettleton and was also predeceased by a
son James “Stevie” Stevens and a daughter Theresa Mollohan. She is survived by
a daughter, Melodie (Jonathan) Stevens – Koo of
Gahanna; two sons, Michael (Tami) Stevens of Columbus and Gene (Wynelle) Stevens of Beltsville, MD; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren;
three sisters, Sharon Huffman and Joyce Barker, both of Columbus and Nyla Kaleta of Pataskala; and
many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m.
Friday at Underwood Funeral Home where the family will receive friends
beginning at 1 p.m. Rev. Pamela Connolly will officiate. In lieu of flowers,
memorial contributions may be made to the Union County Cancer Society in care
of the Underwood Funeral Home, 703 East Fifth Street, Marysville, Ohio 43040.

JoAnn Sullivan
JoAnn Wilcox Sullivan, 70, of Marysville, died Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at The Gables at Green Pastures. Endeared by her grandchildren as “JoJo”, she was a devoted mother and grandmother and enjoyed being a fan of Ohio State University athletics and auto racing. An avid reader, she was a former associate of Grady Memorial Hospital in Delaware where she worked as a physical therapy technician. She was also a former employee at Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Company. She will be most remembered for her fun-loving character and outgoing personality. She was born April 7, 1939 in Richwood to the late Delno and Ruby Burlingame Wilcox and was predeceased by a brother, Charles Wilcox and her former husband, Charles “Chuck” Sullivan. She is survived by four children, Rhett Clevenger of Richwood, Reta Clevenger of Lima, Scott (Melissa) Sullivan of Marysville and Michelle (Kevin) Burkard of Milford Center; her grandchildren, Derik and Aaron Sullivan, Adam Davis, and Todd and Erica Burkard; and many special friends and dedicated caregivers at The Gables at Green Pastures. The family will receive friends 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Underwood Funeral Home, 703 East Fifth Street, Marysville where a memorial gathering will begin at 7 p.m. Interment will be held at a later date at Claibourne Cemetery in Richwood. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the activity fund at The Gables or to Union County Loving Care Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
